This tale has been translated and retold, in the style of Hannah Scot, from: Pearsall, Derek (Ed), 1990. The Floure and the Leafe, The Assembly of Ladies, The Isle of Ladies, Kalamazoo, Michi- gan: Western Michigan University for TEAMS. Medieval Institute Publications. This Middle English poem was erroneously includ- ed in an Elizabethan collection of Chaucer’s poems published by Thomas Speght in 1598, and is mentioned in MS Longleat 258 of the late-fifteenth century.
